Electrical Specification

• A 20A supply is required via a “c” or “d” type MCB with an E.L.C.B.from a distribution board to a firemans switch located outside the zoned area around the installation (see zoning diagram).

• From this switch, a 2 or 3 core SWA cable should be run to the pump starter, mounted by Simply LPG in an enclosure on the unit. The connection should be made into this starter in accordance with the diagram attached, using a 20mm EXE gland.

• The connection from the starter to the pump motor will normally be prewired by Simply LPG prior to delivery – however, if the starter is located on a separate post away from the main tank unit then this may not be possible and this connection will need to be made (SWA cable and 2 no. 20mm EXE glands required).

Cabling Guide

• 0 to 50m - 2.5mm 2/3 core

• 50 to 100m - 4mm 2 core

• Above 100m for calculation

N.B.The above is for guidance only, it is the responsibility of the electrical contractor to ensure that all equipment is correctly rated for the hazardous zone of operation, i.e. cables, glands, adapters, etc. and that cable sizes / lengths are correct; (i.e. all work to conform to N.I.C.E.I.C. standards and comply with the latest edition of the I.E.E. regulations).
